Position Description:

The Department of Community, Family and Addiction Sciences seeks an energetic faculty member to join a growing Department and serve as the Director of the Center for Collegiate Recovery Communities (CCRC). The faculty member must be committed to the highest standards of scholarship and professional activities and to the development of a supportive and inclusive campus climate.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide overall management and leadership of the CCRC.  This will include management of staff, budgetary control, and overall supervision of the center. They will serve as a mentor for students in recovery, facilitate collegiate community seminars, coordinate collegiate recovery program replication, sustain community relationships with government, educational and private entities, liaison with community service providers, and be the point of contact for media requests. They will also teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences. Additionally, a successful candidate will participate in service on campus-based committees and local, regional and state boards and provide community education regarding addiction, recovery, and prevention. The preferred applicant must be an active leader in the profession and have extensive experience in working with recovery/prevention communities.
