- Teach 4 courses in the counseling program core curriculum and mental health counseling curriculum per semester
- 8 graduate courses per year
- Must be qualified and willing to teach a variety of courses online, blended, and face to face in the counseling, courses in the counseling core and mental health counseling program area (e.g. addictions counseling, practicum, internship, skills)
- Advise students and maintain a regular schedule of office hours
- Attend meetings, engage in curriculum and program development as well as service to the department, college, and institution
- Update curriculum to 2024 CACREP standards with program faculty for accreditation compliance completed no later than July 1, 2026
- Co-write self-study and maintain assessment data for successful program accreditation in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- Ph.D. or ABD (with Ph.D. by August 2024) in Counselor Education (must be a doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited program)
- Demonstrated ability to teach assigned courses, including courses in the core and mental health counseling areas
- Willingness and demonstrated ability to teach face-to-face, blended, and online courses
- Demonstrated active research agenda and associated peer-reviewed professional productivity
- Demonstrated strong communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the department and University community
