Adjunct Instructor, Neuroscience
Position Available: fall semester (August 26, 2024- December 13, 2024), possibility of continuing
FLSA Status: Exempt (salary)
Job Status: Part-time Faculty (non-tenure track)
 
Position Summary:
Dominican University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one or two sections of Introduction to Neuroscience for the fall of 2024, in person.  There is the possibility of continuing for spring and beyond.  Course times can be scheduled (T/Th or MWF) at your convenience during daytime hours. A complete set of materials (exams, quizzes, assignments, activities, and slides) is available (but optional). Enrollment is 35 students in a section. In addition to those with PhDs in neuroscience, we welcome applications from advanced graduate students with an interest in teaching, and will provide active mentoring for those new to being an instructor of record. 
 
Qualifications:    
Candidates should be advanced graduate students or PhDs in neuroscience, biology, psychology, or a related field that confers sufficient expertise to teach an overview of neuroscience at the introductory level.
