Position Summary:
The University of Idaho is seeking to hire a non-tenure track assistant or associate professor for a clinical faculty position in the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) as a psychologist to provide leadership of its APA-accredited doctoral internship training program and contribute to the agency's core administrative services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD, PsyD, Doctorate in counseling/clinical psychology from an APA accredited program
  • Must be a current associate professor to be considered for the rank of associate professor.
  • Psychologist Licensure in current state of residence and eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Idaho and licensure as a psychologist within 6 months of hire
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience and at least one of those years must include administrative or significant leadership experience as a professional psychologist
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and/ or facilitating training seminars with doctoral practicum students and/or doctoral interns
  • Experience in providing clinical services to an adult population
  • Experience in providing risk assessment and crisis intervention
  • Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team and a commitment to work effectively as a team leader in a culture that values collaboration and trust

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a college or university counseling center
  • APA accredited internship in a college or university counseling center
  • Administrative and supervisory experience in organizational management
  • Experience in providing culturally competent services to a diverse client population
  • Experience and interest in providing brief counseling
  • Experience having produced scholarly activity (professional presentations, research, publications)
