Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $99,100-$121,700.

The base salary range, from the salary table, for this position is $74,600-$97,200.
“Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience.

Position description
The Department of Psychology (psychology.ucsd.edu) within the School of Social Sciences at UC San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology, with an expected start date of July 1st, 2024.
We seek candidates interested in applying state-of-the-art approaches to classical topics (e.g., attitudes, close relationships, cooperation, emotion, health psychology, intergroup relations, social cognition) or to topics of emerging interest (e.g., collective action, morality, politics, responses to climate change) within social psychology. The selected candidate will be expected to (a) establish a high-quality research program; (b) teach graduate and undergraduate level courses and mentor students within the Department of Psychology; and (c) participate in department and university service.
